Here is a link to further photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37210452@N06/sets/72157622615940464/show/ This 1960 Ford Escort Anglia
Estate is an amazing survivor. It is a US-spec vehicle that is offered by its 3rd owner who recently procured the car from
the garage of the son of the original owner who was a Rolls Royce enthusiast. It has 48k original miles and still wears a
cool Turista decal from a 1964 family road trip to Mexico. It is available in Portland, Oregon for $6000 obo The
car came with a great stash of NOS parts which helped the seller complete a carburetor rebuild. he also procured hydraulic
parts thanks to info from the Anglia club so the clutch and brake systems are now refreshed. The car runs and drives well
and is ready to go fo the next owner. There is a dent on the driver fender as shown in the photos and the car has the expected
wear here and there. The interior features red upholstery which is in very tidy shape and all original
dash components. It has a functioning heater that was only a factory option. The spare tire and jack are in place The engine is a 1172cc flathead 4-cylinder that made 36 horsepower when new. It has a 3-speed transmission with a
long floor shifter that has a non-synchro 1st gear. The seller states that the car “purrs.” Is this the earliest
Ford you can think of with an Escort badge? Might be. Finding a survivor like this with continuous sheltered history is pretty
special. This is an odd model but would be a perfect parts runner for a British car or motorcycle shop. Pull the reflective
tape off the rear and leave the rest as-is, even the time-honored dent in the driver fender.
